A Conceptual Framework for Innovative E-Healthcare System

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) is a critical resource for improving today’s businesscompetitiveness. Embracing e-healthcare and treating IT as a strategic tool to improvepatient safety and the quality of care enables healthcare professionals to benefit fromtechnology formerly used only for management purposes. One of the dynamic forces inresearch is a conceptual framework that conveys researchers with the foundation uponwhich their studies are fabricated. This paper instigates with a definition of E-healthcareinnovation and an understanding of how innovation occurs in healthcare. A conceptualframework is then developed which articulates the intervening variables that driveinnovation in E-healthcare.
