Review: Software Defect Prediction for Class Imbalance Datasets

Abstract

In today’s growing world, the quality of software developed is very essential forcritical and huge applicable areas. The undetected bug in the software leads to anavalanche breakdown of services in the total network. On the other hand, the completedefect analysis in each and every module is again a huge task with lot of man-hours. Atrade of between these two is established by following Software Defect Prediction (SDP)techniques or algorithms. Software defect Prediction is the process of finding the defectsin the specific modules of the software. This paper aims to review the Software DefectPredicting (SDP) techniques and algorithms proposed in the literature to alleviate in thearea of class imbalance software defect.
