Gathering Courses for Physical Exercises based on Gamification
People often show a passive attitude toward exercise, despite feeling the effects of lack of exercise. One solution would be to offer them suitable exercise courses. In this article, we present a method of gathering exercise course information based on people-centric sensing. We applied gamification techniques to the data collecting process with the expectation that this would encourage participation in the process. The usefulness of applying gamification to exercise data collecting was tested through a two-week user study.
